Surrey, Langley and Fraser Valley Real Estate Market Statistics – September 2016

Here are the latest real estate market statistics from Macdonald Realty on Surrey, White Rock, Langley, and Fraser Valley listings and sales in September 2016.

North Surrey

In September 2016, there were 40 sales of detached homes and 418 active listings in North Surrey. The benchmark sale price was $870,700.

The condo market had 90 sales, 214 active listings at the end of the month.  The benchmark sale price was $229,200.

In comparison, townhome sales were 28, active listings were 53 and the benchmark sale price was $345,300.

It’s a buyer’s market for single family homes.

Surrey – Central

In the Surrey – Central market, there were 89 sales of detached homes and 660 active listings at the end of the month.  The benchmark sale price was $887,100.

In comparison, the condo market had 33 sales, 80 active listings, and the benchmark sale price was $239,000.

Townhome market featured 87 sales, 235 active listings and a $433,700 benchmark sale price.

It’s a buyer’s market for single family homes.

White Rock/South Surrey

There were 42 sales, 554 active listings, and a $1,459,800 benchmark sale price for detached homes in the White Rock/South Surrey market.

The condo market featured 58 sales, 161 active listings and a benchmark sale price of $339,900 at the end of the month.

In comparison, townhome sales were 45, active listings were 137 and the benchmark sale price was $565,400.

It’s a buyer’s market for single family homes.

Langley

In the Langley market, the benchmark sale price was $882,800 for detached homes. At the end of September, there were 321 active listings and 91 sales.

The condo market had 58 sales and 103 active listings. The benchmark sale price was $261,400.

Townhome featured 66 sales, 136 active listings and a $431,600 benchmark sale price.

It’s a seller’s market in Langley.

Abbotsford

In the Abbotsford market, there were 105 sales and 378 active listings for detached homes at the end of September. The benchmark sale price was $669,100.

The condo market featured 60 sales, 160 active listings and a $198,600 benchmark sale price.

In comparison, townhomes sales were 51, active listings were 94, and the benchmark sale price was $299,000.

It’s a seller’s market in Abbotsford.
