About Alex Vark

Alex has a passion for the outdoors and is thrilled to call the Sea-to-Sky region home. He is an award winning realtor being in the Medallion Club, the top 10% of realtor's in Greater Vancouver and a top agent in his local office Macdonald Realty Squamish.

First falling in love with the Coastal mountains in the winter season he quickly realized the wonders all year round and has called the area home for over ten years. He enjoys the hiking and biking trails, rivers, and backcountry accessibility but feels it is the people of Squamish that sets it apart. "The people make this town what it is… they have chosen to live in such a raw natural environment and feel a connection to nature and the outdoors. Squamish is a special place where entrepreneurs, young families and environmentally conscious folks form a great community. I really enjoy the small town feel from the independent shops, businesses, restaurants, breweries, and SORCA bike nights."

Alex’s desire to help clients realize their real estate dreams is his greatest motivator. He is excited to share his knowledge and passion for Squamish and the Sea-to-Sky by providing exceptional customer service to his clients. He sees the realtor-client relationship as a partnership and believes in developing a strategy with clients on how to reach their goals. Alex knows the Squamish market inside and out. His finger is on the pulse of the local market, he puts to use his proven negotiation skills and utilizes years of real estate experience to achieve results for his clients. Before real estate, Alex’s past experiences helped shaped who he is today and provided a well-rounded foundation. He graduated from McMaster University with a Bachelor of Commerce Honours Program with a focus on Finance and Entrepreneurship and a Minor in Economics. Alex went on to work in sales at Arcelor Mittal / Dofasco, one of the largest producers of Automotive Steel in North America. However, after splitting time between Ontario and the Sea-to-Sky he knew the mountains were calling and returned to work at Whistler Blackcomb taking a job in their Marketing department. Previous work experience has provided a solid foundation prior to getting into real estate. He has been working in the Squamish real estate market since 2016. He also holds a CNE, Certified Negotiations Expert designation and continues his education in real estate taking courses and seminars.
