About Jeannie Shaver

Hello!

 

My name is Jeannie:) I have lived on Vancouver Island my whole life! I started out in a tiny logging village called Zeballos with all of my extended family, where I learned to catch fish, row a boat, run from bears, and love the rain.

 

I love to travel, and have lived internationally (Africa, Australia, Europe, and England), but always return to my little seaside community on an island. I started a family of my own and have two girls who love to camp, travel, create, and adventure! Oceanside was not only wonderful for me to grow up in, although sometimes a little boring during me teens :/ but it's also an amazing place for us to raise our family.

 

I believe strongly in building community. The connectedness that people feel from being a part of a community leads to confidence, good health, and a feeling that you contribute. I believe in the importance of families- the generational support, whether by friendship or genetics, can help you live your best life! And, I believe in finding the right home in order to thrive. Moving can mean a huge transition, and you need someone that you can trust and count on to act on your behalf. You will find that I am always enthusiastic, honest, and committed.

 

I have served on the board of the Qualicum Beach Farmers Market (after managing it for five years) and have been active in the community of Qualicum Beach- from contributing to new bylaws to serving on the Official Community Plan Review Steering Committee. I am active at my daughters' school, coaching basketball and volleyball, and helping out on the PAC. With 37 years of calling Oceanside my family's home, I am confident I can help you make Oceanside your home too.
