About Mike Bishop

I was born in Edmonton, Alberta, but spent my early childhood in Victoria. At the age of five, I distinctly remember my father picking me up from school in a banana yellow Volvo to take our family to its new home of Hornby Island, BC, where our parents had purchased Seabreeze Guest Farm. Over the years, we worked hard to build up the property, grow the business, and ultimately rename the destination to Seabreeze Lodge. To this day, I am amazed at the number of individuals who are familiar with the small but incredibly beautiful Gulf Island, not to mention how many people have visited or heard of our family resort.

 

It is there that I was taught the fundamentals of what customer service is and how important that attribute contributes to a successful business. Throughout my time on Hornby, I continuously acquired a variety of different skills that went along with running a family business.

 

When I became a young adult, I moved back to Victoria to attend UVIC, where I received my Bachelor of Arts, majoring in History and Psychology. Realizing that Victoria lacked certain opportunities, I moved to Vancouver in 1991 and found work that continued to utilize my love for sales and service.

 

I have always been proud of the relationships I have built and maintained in both my personal and professional life, so helping people with such an important life event, like buying or selling their home, feels like a natural career choice. Ultimately, I hope it will allow me to showcase the many important qualities I feel are necessary when it comes to being a successful REALTOR®.

 

Honesty, integrity, hard work, and personal service are how I would best describe what you can expect when we work together.

 

I live in East Vancouver. I am married, have two amazing children, one Golden Retriever, and 2 cats.

 

I know, appreciate, and have experienced first-hand how overwhelming it can be to buy and/or sell a home in today’s market. I also recognize how important it is to have an individual who will provide insight, assistance, and personal service when dealing with all facets of a real estate process.
